Helen was a newspaper journalist for 16 years, and the managing editor of a city/lifestyle magazine for two.
Since 2001, she’s worked on TV documentaries in multiple roles, including directing, story editing and scriptwriting. Homefront, a feature-length documentary she wrote about military families, has won numerous international awards. Two of her dramatic scripts have been produced for web TV and radio, respectively.
She’s has been a CTV Fellow at the Banff Television Festival and a finalist in the Praxis Film Screenwriting Competition.
